DESCRIPTION

Designed by SAMOO Architects, the Korean Cultural Center New York is a striking seven-story cultural destination located in the heart of Manhattan’s Koreatown. The 33,000-square-foot building brings together galleries, performance spaces, film, education, and cultural programming within a distinctive architectural setting.

A layered glass façade reveals three sculptural volumes within the building, creating a dynamic presence along 32nd Street. Lighting plays an integral role in the architecture, highlighting the building’s form and transparency while creating inviting, carefully illuminated spaces throughout. Designed to showcase Korean art and culture in New York, the Center serves as both a cultural landmark and a contemporary addition to the Manhattan streetscape.
